While the Make Space team is small, we are supported by an incredible network of survivors, facilitators, organisations, and user-led groups. We could not do this work alone.
COURTNEY BUCKLER (she/they) | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Courtney is a survivor researcher and facilitator. Alongside their role at Make Space, they work on Policy & Campaigns at the National Survivor User Network. Courtney recently finished her PhD in Sociology exploring mental health policymaking and practice in the UK. She cares about mad justice, mischief, and snacks.
VERONICA HENEY (she/her) | RESEARCH LEAD
Veronica is a researcher exploring narratives and experiences of self-harm and anxiety. Her work is informed by her own experiences and developed in collaboration with others who have experience of self-harm. She also loves walking by the sea!
BATHSHEBA SLATER-WELLS (she/her) | COMMS LEAD
Bathsheba is a secondary school English teacher based in Bristol. She has professional and research interests in both curriculum design and student peer group dynamics. She has a background in mental health anti-discrimination campaigning and absolutely loves to dance.
